  105.      instantADDRESS is a memory-resident program which allows you to
  106.      capture an address directly from the screen and print it to a label or
  107.      envelope. The following is a partial list of its features:

  142.      Printing the Manual

  145.      The instantADDRESS User's Guide will be approximately 35 pages long
  146.      when printed. Also, the maximum length of its pages is 59 lines, this
  147.      allows it to be printed on all printers including laser printers
  148.      limited to 60 lines-per-page.
  149.  
  150.      The document contains IBM graphics characters (like "│", "╥", and
  151.      "█"). If your printer cannot print these characters, use the program
  152.      PRINTEXT.COM included with the instantADDRESS package to convert these
  153.      characters into printable versions (like "|", "+", and "#"). For
  154.      example type the following to print the User's Manual to LPT1:
  155.  
  156.           PRINTEXT INSTADDR.DOC /C
  157.  
  158.      Because of these characters, you should use a fixed-pitch font (not
  159.      proportionally spaced) for proper printing of the diagrams.

  166.      Installation
  167.      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  169.      instantADDRESS should be installed on your boot-disk so that is loaded
  170.      into memory each time the computer is restarted.

  172.      Follow these steps to install instantADDRESS on a floppy diskette:
  173.  
  174.           1. Insert the instantADDRESS distribution diskette into your
  175.              computer's diskette drive.
  176.  
  177.              This installation procedure will assume that drive A: contains
  178.              the instantADDRESS distribution diskette and that drive B: is
  179.              the destination drive where the files will be installed.
  180.  
  181.           2. Type the following command to copy the files from the
  182.              distribution disk.
  183.  
  184.                COPY A:*.* B: and press <Enter>
  185.  
  186.              If your system is equipped with one drive, you will be
  187.              prompted to swap diskettes several times (you may wish to use
  188.              XCOPY instead to reduce the amount of swapping required).

  191.      Follow these steps to install instantADDRESS on a hard-drive:
  192.  
  193.           1. Insert the instantADDRESS diskette into your computer's
  194.              diskette drive.
  195.  
  196.           2. Log onto the hard-disk drive, for example if it is drive C:
  197.              then type:

  199.                C: and press <Enter>
  200.  
  201.           3. Create a new directory for the instantADDRESS distribution
  202.              files by entering the following command:

  204.                MD \ADDRESS and press <Enter>
  205.  
  206.           4. Change to the newly created directory by typing:

  208.                CD \ADDRESS and press <Enter>

  210.           5. Copy the files from the distribution disk to the new
  211.              directory:

  223.      The instantADDRESS package includes a menu-driven batch file,
  224.      INTRO.BAT, which can be used to print the documentation and load
  225.      instantADDRESS into memory. To run the INTRO program, just type the
  226.      following at the DOS prompt:

  228.           INTRO and press <Enter>
  229.  
  230.      If you would rather just load the program immediately, type the
  231.      following:
  232.  
  233.           INSTADDR and press <Enter>
  234.  
  235.      instantADDRESS will display a list of command-line options and tell
  236.      you that it is installed in memory and the cursor should have changed
  237.      to a large block.

  242.      ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

  244.      instantADDRESS is provided at no charge for evaluation purposes only.
  245.      It is a copyrighted program and is neither free nor public domain
  246.      software. You are entitled to evaluate the program on your own
  247.      equipment for no more than 30 days. At the end of this period you must
  248.      either register the program or cease using it.

  250.      As a registered user of instantADDRESS, you will receive:

  252.           1. The registered version of the software which omits all
  253.              registration reminders and delays, and therefore uses less
  254.              memory.
